Marlene & The Girlz
Marlene & The Girlz
It is often said that there is nothing sweeter than family harmony. Well, Marlene and the Girlz are living examples of this fact. Marlene Allen has been singing since the age of 5 years old. Professionally trained by her late parents, Professor Ernest & Lorraine Allen, she and her twin sister (Darlene) thrilled audiences with their impeccable harmonic and joyful sound. Often accompanied on the piano by their father, he encouraged them to sing with passion and power.
Marlene’s love for this exciting form of music ministry would serve as a driving force in every aspect of her life. So, she felt it only right to train her daughters Melodee and Miracle to use their voices to uplift others. In 2014 at the ages of 7 and 9 years old, the girls begin singing every morning on Periscope. Known as Marlene and the Baby Dolls, they sang gospel and engaged others with positive songs, melodic harmony and uplifting giggles and smiles.
Today, the Baby Dolls have grown into young ladies and are now known as “The Girlz”. Still singing joyful songs, with harmony, tambourines, and rhythm that comes from deep inside the soul. Miracle has expanded her talents and is also a spoken word artist and percussionist. Melodee is nurturing her gift as a psalmist and can frequently be found leading others into worship. They are eternally grateful for God’s hand on their lives. We pray that each time you hear Marlene & The Girlz, you’ll leave with a song in your heart, a praise on your lips and a smile on your face.
